This week, the MP for Chelsea and Fulham was appointed by the Prime Minister as Minister of State for Energy, Clean Growth and Climate Change at the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS).
Energy, clean growth and climate change are some of the biggest challenges and opportunities for the Government as we approach COP26.
The MP for Chelsea and Fulham was previously the Minister of State for Trade Policy in the Department for International Trade after being re-appointed in February 2020. In this role, Greg Hands MP focused on new UK Free Trade Agreements, the UK Global Tariff, and the UK’s role at the World Trade Organisation.
This week, the MP takes on the new role as Energy and Climate Change Minister. Energy, clean growth and climate change are some of the biggest challenges and opportunities for the Government as it approaches COP26 in November. Greg Hands MP will work with the Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, the Rt Hon Kwasi Kwarteng MP, ministerial colleagues and BEIS officials to succeed in the new role.
