On Wednesday, 13 January, the Community Liaison Working Group (CLWG) for the Thames Tideway Tunnel met to discuss the proposed project and their concerns with local residents and representatives of Tideway.
This was the third meeting of the CLWG, and in addition to those attendees mentioned above, Member of Parliament for Chelsea & Fulham, Greg Hands, and local Hammersmith & Fulham Conservative Sands End ward councillors, Robert Largan and Steve Hamilton, were there to listen to local residents’ concerns.
Greg reminded the CLWG that he is organising a meeting between the stakeholders Tideway, the London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham, and Transport for London, as a matter of urgency, in an effort to coordinate traffic management, especially at the junction of Wandsworth Bridge Road and Carnwath Road. This action came about as a result of the first meeting of the CLWG, and is particularly important in light of the number of infrastructure projects planned for Chelsea & Fulham over the coming years.
