Dear Resident,
I hope this finds you well.
My busy week in Chelsea & Fulham and Parliament has varied from meeting virtually with constituents and local businesses to answering an Urgent Question on North Sea oil and gas in the House of Commons.
This week, I would like to draw your attention to the submissions to the Boundary Commission, which were made public on Monday 7 February. I would firstly like to thank all residents who submitted their responses to the consultation which included over 500 submissions made for the Chelsea & Fulham constituency against the controversial proposals by the Boundary Commission.
As you may know, the Boundary Commission’s proposals would see the Chelsea and Fulham constituency cut into two new constituencies of Westminster & Chelsea East and Fulham & Chelsea West, splitting Chelsea into two. Please click here for more detail on this.
The next step of the review process starts on 22 February 2022, with public hearings taking place across London. I will be speaking at the public hearing on Friday 25 February in Westminster and I would like to encourage residents to also speak out against these disastrous proposals at one of the hearings.
Further details on the hearings and how to register can be found on here.Kind regards,
Greg HandsThe Rt Hon Greg Hands MP
Member of Parliament for Chelsea & Fulham
