Greg Hands lives just off the North End Road, Fulham and had a great walkabout along the length of it on Monday, 17 June, meeting fellow local residents. Greg is the only major party candidate in the upcoming General Election, who lives in Chelsea & Fulham and therefore, understands constituency issues.
Greg started his walk at the historic St John’s Church, appreciating its architectural beauty and listed status.
At the onset, Greg enthusiastically engaged directly with voters at the 28 bus stop. This bus is a vital link connecting Fulham with High Street Kensington and Notting Hill.
Continuing his journey, Greg visited The Brunswick Club, reflecting on how it is a fantastic asset to the local community, providing football training, chess, taekwondo, and more to local young people, most often from Clem Attlee Estate. Greg has been a trustee since 2002 and thanks to his successful campaign and petition, Hammersmith and Fulham Council was forced to reinstate crucial funding last year.
Greg walked to the vibrant North End Road Market, celebrating its rich heritage spanning over a century. Fresh fruit and vegetables remain at the heart of the market. But there is also great lunch options on offer too, like Filipino street food.
He concluded his journey at West Kensington station, reflecting on North End Road’s significance as the heart of Fulham’s community.
Commenting, Greg Hands said:
